Google Chat
Google Chat is a business messaging and collaboration platform with direct messages, Spaces, huddles, file sharing, Workspace integrations, Gemini AI and extensible Chat apps.
About Google Chat
Google Chat is a business communication and team messaging platform included with Google Workspace. It supports direct messages, group conversations and persistent Spaces where teams can organize discussions, share files, assign tasks and collaborate around ongoing work.
Chat integrates directly with Gmail, Google Calendar, Drive, Meet, Groups and other Workspace services. Teams can move from asynchronous messaging into real time huddles, collaborate on shared content and access Chat from within Gmail. Google also supports third party applications and integrations for bringing business information and workflows into conversations.
Gemini adds AI capabilities to Google Chat. Available functionality includes catching up on conversations, identifying action items, translating messages, summarizing shared files, helping users create or refine messages and answering questions about conversations from the Gemini side panel.
