Kalypta is meeting privacy software from Deveillance. It runs a small local model on an Apple Silicon Mac and reshapes outgoing audio during a call. The goal is to interrupt AI transcription of the speaker’s voice without stopping the conversation for the people on the other side.

Deveillance positions Kalypta for meetings where an AI notetaker or transcriber may be listening. The company says people on the call still hear the speaker, while transcribers and note takers do not get usable text. The public product claim is that AI fails to transcribe about 2 out of 3 words when protection is on.

Audio stays on the device. Deveillance states that voice data is never sent to the cloud and that nothing is stored after the meeting ends. Kalypta has been tested on Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. Other meeting apps may work, but they are not yet part of the published benchmarks. The current release is a macOS beta on Apple Silicon only.

The current beta can add audible noise. Deveillance says speech stays broadly intelligible and that models are still being improved. Published research compares disruption of AI transcription with human intelligibility using word error rate plus ESTOI, PESQ, and A-weight scores.
